Four BLACK Owned Miami based Candle Companies To Patronize Instead of Bath & Body Works

Today once I woke up at 10:30am (coughs 11am) and decided to join the rest of society, I discovered via social media that retail store and one of my favorites places to shop (when I feel like shopping) was having the biggest candle sale of the year. Apparently Bath & Body works has been doing this for years and for some reason I’m just finding out about it today.  This is odd because I love candles. No, I really do love candles, especially ones on sale. I keep at least 15 candles on deck at the crib. I recently had a visitor to my place and they said “Damn you got a lot of candles, let me have one.” To which I replied, “Naw them mine. Go buy your own,”  because that’s how much I love candles. But I digress.

But I must share that I haven’t been in Bath & Body Works for a minute because I’ve consciously been choosing to support local black owned candle makers. That partially inspired this list. Well to be totally honest, this list was inspired after I realized that I couldn’t partake in the BBW sale because the people who knew about the sale literally bought ALL THE DAMN CANDLES EVER MADE BY BBW! But then I thought to myself, “Why not just buy one of your favorite household items from a black owned business?” Then I thought “Hell everyone should buy from them too.” So voila via a Facebook post, I found four South Florida based Black owned candle makers for yall to patronize instead of or in addition to BBW. In no particular order, check out some damn good smelling candles you can purchase from local black owned businesses. #ThankMeLater (Drake voice)
