A Miami media personality is stepping into a national role.
Raquel Herring will serve as moderator and co-host of Point of View (POV), a new live daytime talk show airing on BET Her as part of a programming partnership with Orlando-based AFRO TV.
The show premiered March 16 and airs weekdays at 6 p.m., with an encore at 12:30 a.m.

National Platform, Local Representation
POV features a panel of Black women discussing current events, relationships, career, wellness and issues impacting Black communities across the country.
Herring’s role places a Miami voice within those national conversations as the show builds its weekday audience.
Part of BET Her Daytime Expansion
The series is one of two live daily shows joining BET Her through its partnership with AFRO TV.
Also launching is The Sisaundra Show, hosted by vocalist and television personality Sisaundra Lewis, which focuses on celebrity interviews, music and faith-based conversations. That show airs weekdays at 6 p.m., with an encore at midnight.

AFRO TV CEO Yves Bollanga said the partnership is intended to expand the reach of programming centered on Black women.
“Black women are culture drivers, business leaders and decision-makers whose voices deserve consistent, national platforms,” Bollanga said in a press statement.
BET executive Brian Rikuda added that the network is focused on expanding content that reflects its audience.
“At BET, we remain deeply committed to amplifying the voices, stories and perspectives that move our community forward,” Rikuda said in a press release.
From Regional to National
Herring’s addition to the show marks a step from regional media into a nationally distributed daily program, as BET Her expands its daytime lineup with live, conversation-driven content.
