The Miami Foundation is promoting a new funding opportunity aimed at smaller nonprofit organizations in Miami-Dade County.
The Spotlight Miami Grant will support organizations with annual operating budgets of $1.5 million or less, according to an email announcement from the foundation.
Spotlight Miami is a women-led giving circle focused on highlighting and funding nonprofits that make a measurable impact in the community. The initiative is powered by National Christian Foundation.
Grants are awarded for a one-year cycle. Organizations that receive funding may reapply after three full funding cycles have passed, meaning they must wait three years before submitting a new application.
According to the foundation, Spotlight Miami prioritizes emerging charities with limited access to major philanthropic dollars and organizations where grant funds would have a significant impact.
The application deadline is Friday, Feb. 27.
