South Florida is set to experience a powerful night of healing and open dialogue as the B. Major Foundation hosts Another Evening of Cocktails & Conversation, a mental health awareness event taking place on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 PM. Held at DAER Nightclub inside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, this evening blends a grown-and-sexy social vibe with the kind of unfiltered, heartfelt conversations our community truly needs.
The event will feature a dynamic lineup of mental health experts, cultural figures, and celebrity advocates who are using their platforms to speak truth to power when it comes to emotional wellness. Dr. Tasha of Drive-By Therapy, LLC will bring her relatable approach to therapy and healing. Empowerment advocate and fitness guru Shaun T is expected to share insights from his personal journey as a mental health champion. Emotional health coach Dr. Javar Godfrey will offer tools for self-awareness and growth. Psychotherapist Lathosha Alexander, known as “The Cool Therapist,” will bring her signature real-talk energy to the discussion. Miami’s own rap legend Trina will share her voice and experience as a survivor and advocate for mental wellness in the Black community.
Adding to the lineup is author and domestic violence advocate Sabrina Greenlee, who is expected to deliver a moving message rooted in strength and transformation. Former NFL Pro Bowler Dr. Tommie Harris, Jr. will speak from the heart about emotional resilience, while hip hop legend and actor Silk The Shocker will lend his perspective on mental health in the entertainment world. Certified grief and trauma life coach Syreeta Talbert will guide attendees through understanding emotional loss and healing, and actress, director, and motivational speaker LisaRaye McCoy will speak on wellness, business, and purpose.
The B. Major Foundation, founded by former NFL star Bryant McKinnie, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting mental health awareness and emotional wellness in underserved communities. This event continues the Foundation’s mission of creating empowering, solution-driven experiences that uplift and inform.

General admission is $100, and all proceeds go toward supporting the Foundation’s impactful work. Attendees are encouraged to come ready to listen, engage, and walk away with the tools and inspiration to prioritize their mental well-being. Sponsors include Memorial Healthcare System, Wawa, Jazz in the Gardens, Don Pablo Coffee, Pro Mobility, Topgolf, and several other community-forward partners.
