Broward County Animal Care Brings Free Pet Care Clinics Back to Fort Lauderdale and West Park

Community Clinics to Provide Free Vaccinations, Microchipping, and More.

Broward County Animal Care (BCAC), the County’s official pet adoption and animal welfare agency, is bringing its free community Pet Care Clinics back to FortLauderdale and West Park on Thursday, September 12, and Friday, September 13, respectively.These clinics will provide essential preventative services, such as rabies vaccinations, microchipping, and other vital care, at no cost to Broward County residents.The goal is to ensure pets remain healthy without placing a financial burden on their families. Pet parents can register online at https://bit.ly/HyLoBCAC.

“With the rising cost of living, we know that veterinary care can become a financial strain,” said Doug Brightwell, BCAC Director, in a press release. “Our community Pet Care Clinics are designed to bring these vital free services directly to Broward’s neighborhoods, ensuring pets receive the high-quality preventative care they need to stay healthy and happy.”

Participants must be Broward County residents; online pre-registration is encouraged as time slots fill.

BCAC’s Pet Care Clinic will be held at the following locations:

  • Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 10 AM-1 PM at Carver Ranches Library (4735 S.W. 18th Street West Park, FL 33023)

  • Friday, September 13, 2024, from 10 AM-1 PM at Tyrone Bryant Branch Library (2230 N.W. 21st Avenue Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311)

Services will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and all services are subject to availability. Pet owners are encouraged to arrive early and pre-register online to secure their spot.
