Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Cutler Bay, Florida, will host an evening of worship with its event titled “A Night of Worship: The Black Out Edition.” This soul-stirring celebration will feature performances from Grammy Award winner Le’Andria Johnson, actress and recording artist Gia Wyre, and South Florida’s own vocal powerhouse, Vincent Chadwrick. In addition, the SOS Dance Team will also deliver a special performance.
The event will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. and will be hosted by Stellar Award winner, Grammy-nominated artist, and BET actor, Jor’el Quinn. Organizers have asked attendees to wear black as a symbol of unity and community engagement.
“A Night of Worship” serves as the kickoff event for a weekend celebration of Pastor Theo and Lady Alecia Johnson’s 11th pastoral anniversary. Reflecting on the occasion, Pastor Theo Johnson expressed his gratitude in a press release, saying “I am so humbled, blessed, and grateful that the congregation thought enough of me to create such an amazing weekend in honor of me and my wife’s service to the community and commitment to the betterment of the church congregation.”
Tickets for the concert are $35 and available for purchase on Eventnoire.com. For additional information or to buy tickets in person, contact Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church at (305) 251-5753.
