Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kionne McGhee is bringing another dope event to the community of South Dade. He’s inviting everyone to join him for 3 Days of FREE art-centric events at the 2nd annual ARTZ 305. It all kicks off Dec. 1st -3rd at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

There will be multiple performances with R&B star AL B Sure and Gospel Star Leandria Johnson to Headline on Saturday and Sunday. Other performers include Gia Wyre, B&S Band, and Kizie the Violist.

Black Literature has had many challenges, with renewed assaults on its productions. As knowledge produced by African and African Diaspora intellectuals and artists is being debated, legislated, and litigated—reminding us of the dark Nazi period of banning and burning books—Required Reading calls for a return to Memory land where what they ban becomes required.

UNTITLED ART FAIR is just around the corner and Emerson Dorsch is incredibly thrilled to announce their participation for the third consecutive year. This year, #POTENT Emerson Dorsch’s booth exhibition, features five participating artists: Beverly AchaJen ClayElisabeth CondonJessica Gispert and Moira Holohan. We are very excited to present their works at our Booth A23.

Emerson Dorsch Gallery was founded by Brook Dorsch in 1991. The gallery represents a roster of artists from several generations across the United States. Our exhibition program is the front line of this effort, and behind the scenes, the gallery’s dedicated team nurtures artistic practices and cultivates meaningful relationships with institutions and collectors.

Local Miami artist Chivas Davis is a graduate of SCAD with a BFA in Computer Art and Animation. Mr. Davis served as an Art instructor, wrestling, and baseball coach in South Florida for over 12 years; with his last years at the historic Booker T. Washington Senior High School. Passionate and deeply centered by his faith walk, Mr. Davis uses his artistical gift to illustrate and narrate a series of comic books; THE WHOLE ARMOR, to represent the power of God’s love for all of humanity. The Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum has partnered with Mr. Davis to bring a ground breaking exhibit, curated and conceptualized by Terrance “VesSouL” Cribbs-Lorrant, HEROES OF THE LAW, Character Sketches of those women and men from the black diaspora who were willing foraged segregated practices to bring equity, for black-skin folks, to the justice system.

This exhibit will feature some of Mr. Davis’ critically acclaimed works from his inaugural exhibit THE WHOLE ARMOR along side of those newly created character sketches from HEROES OF THE LAW. A limited edition of comic books will be signed and numbered and made available for this exhibit.

EBONY FWD Presented by Coca- Cola Zero Sugar

EBONY MAGAZINE will host an exclusive 2-day Art Basel celebration of Black art called EBONY FWD – Presented by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.  The interactive experience, that is also supported by Nationwide, will include a Diaspora Art Exhibit, a culinary tasting, live performances, a fireside chat, and more.  Featuring American and international artists, the curated collection will include an archival retrospective from EBONY Magazine, selections from the Coca-Cola Company Fine Arts Collection, and influential works by various photographers, painters, and sculptors.

The creators of @TheVegNic_, @JuiceDefined, and AFRO-VEGAN SOCIAL are proud to present #VeganBasel, an interactive art experience that will showcase live music, fashion displays, and of course, FREE vegan food. The event will also feature a marketplace with an array of vendors, making it a must-attend occasion for foodies, art enthusiasts, and music lovers alike.

Scheduled for Sunday, December 10th from 2 pm to 7 pm, #VeganBasel will take place at the historic Opa Locka train station at 480 Ali Baba Blvd, Opa-locka, Florida, a location renowned for its cultural significance. The event is set to transform the Historic Opa Locka Train Station into a haven of creativity and deliciousness, and we invite all to come and experience the magic.
