Carol City Chiefs Football Team to be Presented with Mayor’s Cup Trophy

For the past four years, the rivalry football game between the Miami Carol City Senior High and Miami Norland Senior High football teams has evolved to the Mayor’s Cup football game. It gives bragging rights to one of the City of Miami Gardens’ public high schools for the school year, and this year the Chiefs can proudly say they are the best team in the city. They beat the Vikings 36 to 7 Friday, making the Chiefs the home conference game winners. Carol City is currently 3-0 overall and 1-0 in their district.

To celebrate the team, Mayor Oliver Gilbert, who created the Mayor’s Cup, will present the Chiefs with their winning trophy on Wednesday September 26th. The event is free and open to public.
