Kiara Garland is the Public Information Officer and Community Liaison for the office of City of Miami Commissioner Keon Hardemon. In her work she provides services to residents of the District 5 area, works with local, state and federal employees, resolves both residential and business concerns, among many other duties. Before working for the City of Miami, Kiara was a volunteer intern for the city where her hard work and dedication proved that she could take on larger tasks as a PIO. She also worked as a enrichment instructor for Cool Kids Learn, a non-profit organization that provide an academic based afterschool program for young students. Kiara has also volunteered with the Florida Department of Health in Leon County, working on projects to combat HIV/AIDS.
