Florida Senate candidate and former Miami Gardens Councilman, Dr. Erhabor Ighodaro, was recorded making Homophobic, Transphobic and anti Pro-Choice remarks. We know every business owner has a compelling story to tell. Healthcare will now be at your fingertips with the launch of the Pineapp by Baptist Health South Florida. The healthcare company boats that with the PineApp, your health is in your hands. The Community Fund of North Miami Dade (“CFNMD”), a subsidiary of the Opa-locka Community Development Corporation (OLCDC), announced at a press conference last week that Formula 1 has committed to providing a grant of up to $500,000 to support entrepreneurs who own small businesses in Miami Gardens. Civil Rights of many were impacted this past Florida’s legislative session. In order to make sure the community knew their effects, the ACLU of Florida Greater Miami Chapter hosted a virtual meeting titled “Civil liberties and new Florida laws from the 2022 legislative session.” The meeting took place July 20th on Zoom and was open to the public, however, if you missed the live event you can view the session now on their Facebook page. The once defunct Black News Channel on Comcast has been given a lifeline with the acquisition from Allen Media Group, which is owned by comedian turned media mogul, Byron Allen. The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), released a statement Friday evening, congratulating Allen on his new acquisition that once employed many Black and Brown journalists and media professionals.
