On Thursday, September 5th, City of Miami Chairwoman and District Five Commissioner Christine King will be hosting an exclusive interview with Olympic American Sprinter Twanisha “TeeTee” Terry at a LIVE Audience Taping of The King-dom Podcast at the Historic Lyric Theater in Overtown.
“TeeTee is an inspiration to all of us, especially young women,” said Chairwoman King in a press release. “Born and raised in Miami where she was on the track & field team at Northwestern High School, we are proud to have been a part of her journey in our city and now the world.”
On the heels of securing a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as part of the USA’s women’s 4×100-meter relay team, TeeTee will be honored with a proclamation recognizing her outstanding contributions to the City of Miami and her remarkable accomplishments on the world stage. A special surprise is also in store for the occasion.
“Don’t compare your journey to others. The lows are rarely shown; their chapter 35 may be your chapter 5,” said Twanisha “TeeTee” Terry in a press release.
The community is invited to attend this LIVE audience taping on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 11 a.m., with doors closing and the taping beginning at 11:30 a.m.
