The Super Bowl of Caribbean concerts happens in Miami every Memorial Day Weekend.
The 16th Annual Best of the Best Music Fest will feature some of the top reggae, dancehall and soca acts Sunday, May 29, on stage at Bayfront Park. It is the largest concert series in North America.
“Every island lives in South Florida, from Jamaica to Trinidad to Haiti to Guyana to St. Vincent,” said Hot 97FM DJ, Jabba , one of the producers of the show. “Every Island is out here, so to have massive events in full blast — words can’t even explain how excited I am for this event.”
The mega concert will be headlined by the smooth singing reggae icon, Beres Hammond and dancehall heavy hitters Vegas, Cham and Christopher Martin. Virgin Islands’ Pressure will also bring his melodic voice and poetic lyrics to the grand stage in Downtown Miami.
Get ready to move your hips and waistline with performances by soca artists Patrice Roberts, Ricardo Drue and Lyrikal, expected to energize the crowd.
The concert also features fresh dancehall acts like Laa Lee, 10 Tik and Yaksta. It will be hosted by comedian, Majah Hype.
The festivities start at 3 p.m. and end at 11 p.m. Tickets are available at www.bestofthebestconcert.com. Kids under 12 years old are free.
