Jo’Dane “JD” Craigman wins Coveted Political Campaign Marketing Award

South Florida’s only 2019 winner of a Reed Award went to Jo’Dane “JD” Craigman of Intravate Consultants, a marketing and media firm based in Miami. The Reed Awards highlight the best campaign marketing professionals around the country and Craigman was chosen as one of the elite honorees.

The Reed Awards are given annually and this year it took place in Austin, Texas on February 21st. The Reed Awards, named after Campaigns & Elections founder Stanley Foster Reed, embody excellence in political campaigning, campaign management, political consulting and political design, grassroots & advocacy. Winners represent the very best the political campaign and advocacy industries have to offer. Although, Craigman was not able to attend the awards ceremony this year, he was very excited and honored to win in the category for “Best Website for Mayoral Campaigns.”

“I had no idea that I would win my first year being nominated, but I work really hard for my clients and this just further solidifies for me the importance of being passionate and doing great work,” said Craigman.

The judging process was ridged, but Craigman advanced through all three intense rounds of judging to bring home the win. The Reed Judging Panel is made up of individuals representing a broad spectrum of expertise and experience in political campaigning and communications.

Craigman won for his outstanding work on the Matthew Pigatt for Opa-locka Mayor campaign. He designed Pigatt’s campaign website from scratch and designed it to be fresh and super user friendly.

“Our goal was simple, the site needed to be clean, concise, and drive home a winning message. After a brief consultation with Matthew, it was brought to our attention that volunteers and contributions are needed to win this election.” Said Craigman.

Craigman’s hard work paid off and Pigatt went on to win the Mayor’s. Pigatt’s site stood out among the other mayoral candidates.

A 15-year- marketing veteran, Craigman is no stranger to bringing a client’s branding ideas to life. He started his full-service marketing company, Intravate Consultants in 2012 and has worked with dozens of companies and political candidates across South Florida. His clients span across the restaurant, political and medical industries.

Craigman plans to work with more political candidates to help them reach their marketing goals as he did with newly elected Opa-locka Mayor Matthew Pigatt and Miami Gardens Councilman Reggie Leon.

“Our niche is to develop comprehensive and smart digital marking campaigns that allow candidates to focus on running for office and not become bogged down with the iterative digital marketing learning curve,” said Craigman. “Over the last several years, we have expanded our client list and we’ve been on an incredible trajectory and I am excited for what the future holds.”
